The mind draws a blank. Then flashes, in lighting.
A passionless, cold heart, it freezes all emotions, all warmth, into a silent lake. Geese head south, reflect winged splotches on the iridescent teardrop of heaven in a fragment of time.
Nothing stirs under the winter sun.
