Wistful Upon a Perforated Napkin / A Doorway

Wistful Upon a Perforated Napkin

Wistful upon a perforated napkin,
black scrawl on scratchy white,
inexpensive.

Wistful upon a perforated napkin,
slip an indulgence in repose,
to desecrate
a temple of endeavours.

P.S.: Written on 25 Jan 09 at the public library down Victoria Street; edited on 1 Feb 09. Edited again on 3 Feb 09.

A Doorway

I glance in your eyes
a doorway,
closer and closer
I slink,
deeper and deeper
I fall,
where angels sing,
and heaven's bells ring,
into the nirvana of your lovely soul.

P.S.: Now, I've been thinking of writing a series of love poems for Valentine's Day. Just maybe...
