If Only the Heart Would Harden with Age

If only the heart would harden with age,
frost in stone amid all winters past.
Let live, let die the autumn leaves
of emotional vulnerability.

If only the heart would harden with age,
stall in time, awash with sins,
in the sea, in the sea,
of absolute disharmony.

Afterwords: With age comes individuality of the mind. That is when cleavages arise, and the heart has to be strong.
