Some tips on a running event's website advocate going for a easy run a day after a hard one to allow you to lower risk of injury and be able to run faster for the subsequent run; makes you feel like you are storing energy.
So, this evening I tested this unconventional theory by going for a short, lazy run, or in my own words, letting the pace play catch-up. And at the end of which, I could feel the air expanding in my chest till seemingly bubbling with a natural joy most exhilarating. I felt like I could run another 10 KM.
Strange, this body.
