Okay, this will be a quick one. I suppose "The Day The Earth Stood Still" started well enough, with a gripping "doomsday" theory. You are made to wonder why the hell are those spheres dropped into various countries. But how, oh how, is the "Keanu Reeves" alien character sufficiently moved to save mankind from annihilation? I honestly don't see how.
