Random Post, Other than being an Invalid

I've always known my low tolerance for pain, and treated it as part of my disposition. As the pain on my lower back persisted on Tuesday morning, I began to question if it was all in my mind. Then again, I realised that certain anatomy may seem insignificant, but in fact, can turn one into invalid. And it took me all of five minutes to slip out of bed, which is no joke. I can't even stand up long enough to finish shaving.

The wait at the private clinic was another torment. The doctor was terribly late, but took his time with each patient, which was not really a bad thing from another perspective. I was only sixth in the queue, but ended up waiting for over two hours. Perched on highly uncomfortable plastic chair, I observed a grandparent going into the consulting room with her grandson, one wondered if the queue was longer then, as they both looked sickly and were seeing the doctor with one queue number. My suspicion was confirmed when they collected two sets of medicines. I saw this happening twice while I was there. My point is if I had known the exact number of patients before me, I could have made a better decision whether to switch to another clinic. Then again, that wouldn't do for the doctor's business.

So here I am, at home, an invalid, almost. The muscle relaxant performs miracles, and puts me to sleep like a log.

P.S.: The doctor explained that I may be suffering from a slip disc if the pain continues for another three to four days, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
