Wordless

"You think you are an iconoclast, but you're not. You just move, or replace what you cannot have. If you fail at something you retreat into something else. Nothing changes you. How many women did you have? I left you because I knew I could never change you. You would stand in the room so still sometimes, so wordless sometimes, as if the greatest betrayal of yourself would be to reveal one more inch of your character."

- pg 185, The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje.

Are men all alike in that manner? There are times when I would rather shred my skin than bare my soul. And I simply refuse to change. Or maybe I can't.

Wordless, I crawl back into my shell...

The English Patient is a great book. :)

You know, you come across as a sensitive, perceptive man with a sense of humour — a likeable guy! :) It is a risk to bear your soul.. but sometimes it is a risk worth taking. I'm cheering for you!

Hmm...wud think men appear to be like that. But if u know a man well enough and he trusts you well enough, U'd realise, the r just like little boys who reach up for a woman's love. And u dun even need to speak to know what's on his mind.
