Haiku Exercise I: Night

night breeze
moon flitters
through water puddle

(Completed on 29 Oct 07 after repeated editing)

Haiku is a form of traditional Japanese poem. Currently reading "Writing and Enjoying Haiku", a hands-on guide by Jane Reichhold. Haiku is not just poetry, it is an attitude towards life. More on that later, I promise.

"Hiragana"? "Katagana"? Where are they? Japanese dishes? haha...Well, according to the guide, one can enjoy and write English Haiku with a little training. I guess like for English poetry, I will end up appreciating it in my own way.
