Veil
You mean to hide a sun
dripping happiness, eyes
to telescope our path
along many sunrises
and sunsets, ears locking
our words up to echo a lifetime,
and the lips, all the lips
need to do is
to be themselves
when I lift the veil
hanging like a mist
over our days.
