Never the Same

Places I've been
Like faded dreams
In mornings,
Never the same lights,
Same sounds, same people
Again in a moment
Unexpected yet
Seemingly coordinated
(What are the odds?),
Inevitably forever
Lost.

P.S.: Brian Patten once said that good poem is not written in the spur of the moment, and he is most probably right. But he may have missed out on the fact that humans have something like a "recorder" in our mind, writing a poem, refining it all the time as we go about our lives.
