I've just joined Facebook; no real reason. At first, it was to listen to a blogger singing Karaoke - I know, kind of weird of me. One thing led to another, and I am now in an ex-colleague's network. It seems snobbish to reject his invitation, you see. Funny thing about Facebook is that I can have access to his friends' information as well. I don't know what to make of it. They were "hugging", engaging in "water fight" and "buying" each other "pets" and "drinks".
It dawned on me then how similar the concept of Facebook is to blogging: it's about connecting, socialising and belonging to a community. It did not take long for me to decide against further participation. Being too much of a loner, burdened by an innate aversion to change, I rather stick with blogging; just me and myself most of the time.
And of course, I still love writing.
